Hollywood actor Keanu Reeves spun off the track as he made his professional motor racing debut at a famous US circuit.
The star spun on to the grass without crashing as he competed in the Toyota GR Cup at the famed Indianapolis Motor Speedway on Saturday.
Reeves, 60, came off the track on the exit of turn nine, a little over halfway through the 45-minute race, but got back on and continued driving, signalling that he wasn't hurt.
After qualifying in 31st place, he steered clear of a first-lap crash at turn 14 and, and even got as high as 21st place before finishing 25th out of 35.
The Matrix star partnered another celebrity driver, Cody Jones of the Dude Perfect YouTube sports series.
The Toyota GR Cup is a Toyota spec-racing series run ahead of this weekend's Indy 8 Hour sports car event.
Reeves, who has a second race on Sunday, was driving the No. 92 BRZRKR car, which is promoting his graphic novel The Book Of Elsewhere.
It's not the first time he has raced, as he previously competed in the Toyota Grand Prix of Long Beach celebrity race, winning the event in 2009.
A keen motorsports fan, Reeves presented the 2023 documentary series, Brawn: The Impossible Formula 1 Story, about the Brawn GP F1 outfit, which won the driver and constructor world championships less than a year after being formed.
