Hollywood actor Michael Madsen has been arrested in California on a domestic violence charge.
The Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department said it received a call shortly after midnight on Saturday from a woman saying "her husband pushed her and locked her out of the house".
Madsen, who starred in Quentin Tarantino films Reservoir Dogs, Kill Bill and The Hateful Eight, was detained in Malibu on the misdemeanour charge.
A misdemeanour is a criminal offence in the US, typically punishable by less than 12 months in jail.
Madsen was released from custody after posting bail of $20,000 (£15,300).
A representative for the 66-year-old told US outlet Variety that "it was a disagreement between Michael and his wife, which we hope resolves positively for them both".
Michael Madsen and DeAnna Madsen have been married for 28 years.

Madsen's other movie appearances include the Free Willy film series, Thelma & Louise, Donnie Brasco, and the James Bond movie Die Another Day.
In 2019, he was jailed for four days and sentenced to five years' probation after admitting a drink driving charge following an incident where he crashed his SUV into a pole.
